Saint Guinefort. Guinefort the greyhound belonged to a knight who lived in a castle near Lyon. One day, the knight went hunting, leaving his infant son in the care of Guinefort. When he returned, he found the nursery in chaos – the cot was overturned, the child was nowhere to be seen and Guinefort greeted his master with bloody jaws. Believing Guinefort to have devoured his son, the knight slew the dog. He then heard a child crying; he turned over the cot and found his son lying there, safe and sound, along with the body of a viper. Guinefort had killed the snake and saved the child. On realizing the mistake the family dropped the dog down a well, covered it with stones and planted trees around it, setting up a shrine for Guinefort. Guinefort became recognised by locals as a saint for the protection of infants

puppytube: I was originally going to wait until after PDA was all printed and ready (by the way, it looks astonishing so far and I don’t even have all the submissions in yet, way to go guys!) to post about this, but now I’m way too excited, so here goes! LORD AND MASTER - A BLACK METAL ZINE - NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS - DEADLINE IS AUGUST 1ST, 2012 Lord and Master is a stand-alone zine I’m going to be putting together. I am looking for for comics and single illustrations (!!!) inspired in tone and aesthetic by black metal. If you or someone you know is enthusiastic about this sort of thing, do not hesitate to send them my way! If you are familiar with the zines I’ve done in the past you know how this works. Here are the specs: Black and white (grays permitted as well) 8x11” format 300dpi If you are doing a comic, you may want to send me a prompt first. I’ll give it the o-kay if it’s appropriate for the zine. Same for illustrations. The only hard lined rule I have is that I won’t be accepting semi-symmetrical goat head drawings for anything other than the cover (this is not the cover) to prevent too much same-y looking stuff in the zine, hope y’all understand. quickie Dewprism fanart. The character designs were so cute, love the badguy and his weird metal pointy nose mask This game influenced me a lot as a kid !! (though admittedly for reasons I cannot figure out and are probably tainted pretty heavily by rosey nostalgia, because my partner and I have been playing through it and we’re  still stuck at those infuriating timed jumping minigames at Fancy Mel’s)
